We had 4 or 5 rumbles of thunder and some very heavy showers Saturday afternoon, didnt see any lightning at Bempton (Near Bridlington), anyone see anything more interesting. The storm passed to the south west of us.

Oh well a Storm on my first day as a member of this group.

Went to see the Father in Law this pm. in Hull. Heavy Rain Thunder and Lightning for about 15 mins around 5pm, just as we were leaving.

Saw two good Cloud Ground strikes as we were driving Home on the A165 around Skirlaugh. No camera with me a pity as it was a classic Cumulus Nimbus with an anvil top. That part of east Yorkshire is good storm chasing country, flat and open.

No storm at home, but we had V heavy rain for about 15 mins at Lunchtime. an 'angry' sky when we got home but clearing.

Ive attached a picture, taken from our back garden, as you can see we have a nice open aspect this way (west)Attached File  DSCN1071.JPG ( 1.06MB ) Number of downloads: 9

Its now a fine sunny evening.
